1003 LeidenOntzet

3rd of October is the day to celebrate the relief of Leiden. Leiden city was suffering from the siege by Spain in the 16th century, and in 1574 Leiden finally succeeded to have a narrow escape. 

Peaceful Leiden city turned to be like a war place and crowed with thousands of people who were drinking, dancing and singing.   

During this couple of weeks, I have experienced two kinds of festivals in Europe. I think these kinds of events and festival play an important role to keep good relationships between citizens, like a civil religion in the united states. 

I am getting used to the life in Leiden, but In terms of English studies, Im still not willing to talk in a positive way. My listening skill has been definitely improving, but talking skill sucks.

From the reason i mentioned above, i will try to write my diary every day.

Even it gonna be a short note, it must be better than not writing anything.
