0822,0823 starting my life in Leiden
now im writing this dairy in the university library. it is very big and quiet. i can concentrate on my work for sure. today was the beginning of my studying abroad and i had hundreds of troubles. i will never forget this day. first, i went to the airport and tried to get a air plain ticket and leave my baggage. the woman working at Cathay pacific, one of the greatest air plain company, said "you need to submit a Visa, if not, you have to go back to take a visa in embassy and come here in a week". i was very surprised by what she said to me. i could have done everything i could do at that time. unfortunately, wifi did not work well so i asked my mom to borrow me a phone and logged into gmail. and i tried to show her an email from leiden uni (it looks like a confirmation letter). then she begun to read the letter carefully and allowed me to go to the Netherlands without Visa. i dont know why she didnt know japanese students only asked to submit residence permit, however, the problem here was that i didnt prepare enough. im goofy. keep in mind. very careless. need to behave very carefully. Luckily, i could get my tickets to Amsterdam, and meet up with Yumi. it was the first time to introduce yumi to my mom and my brother. i could not concentrate on our conversation because of the serious problem i met five minute before. as my mom said, my face looked pale. i had a confident that my mom would like yumi so i was not nervous at all. after saying goodbye to my mom and brother, i went to go to the convenience store to make a copy. after that we talked about innocuous things without taking care of the boarding time. i was so stupid that i didnt realize the time was approaching. when i realized it, it was a bit too late to take a flight. if i notice it ten minutes later, i could not have taken the air plain. i was stupid. fortunately, the plain was postponed because Cyclone was coming around HongKong. Overcoming several difficulties due to my caress miraculously, i finally arrived at Amsterdam. It took just 20 minutes from Schipol to Leiden centraal but the transportation fee was much more expensive than Japanese one. It took 10 euro!!! WTF. However, Leiden was very cozy and beautiful city. I already like the city. i went to Plexus to get my student ID. the lady working at educational affairs looked very friendly. One of my goals i wanna achieve during my stay in Leiden is to be able to talk with people freely. Like with her. dont hesitate to talk with them and try to talk longer however sucks it is. After that, i tool a couple of rest and then i met up with Joris. He was very good man and serious about studying Japanese. He said his hobby was learning Japanese. I cannot believe it. his attitude toward japanese is respectable. I definitely respect him and decide to study English as hard as him. try to use English as much as possible. i wanna make Yosuke and Robe surprised. I will go to get a sim card tomorrow. Before that i will walk around Leiden city and read an English book in the Library. See you. Where is Jetlug?? im still fine.
