1231 NewYears eve
spending New Years eve in Leiden. Made a 年越しそば by myself for the first time and served it to my dormitory mates. Also my Japanese friend made お雑煮 and it was really nice. There were only Asias in our dormitory. I had dinner with an Indonesian friend and a Thai friend and another Japanese girl. I go to the temple with my friends in hometown every year, so it is a bit shame that I could not spend time with them as usual. But the way I spent my new years eve was very like a typical studying abroad asian students in Europe. Indeed I had a good day with very intelligent friends whom I proud of becoming friends with. The way to celebrate New Years in the Netherlands was completely different from Japanese way. They shoot of hundreds of fireworks with friends or families to celebrate New Years. The intensive sounds of fireworks continued till 3am. I went to the bed around 1am but it was still noisy.
I have experienced many things in 2017, and learned a lot of things from every single meeting and hardships especially I faced in abroad. Living and studying in abroad was not just interesting rather sometimes mentally hard things. I could easily imagine how hard it is to work abroad because studying abroad has many way to escape from the hardships, whereas working abroad usually requires me to get enough consequences. I have to be responsible for my behavior as an adult this year as I start working next April. Don’t forget to return the appreciation to those who have been supporting me and will work very seriously in 2018.
