0114 Seville
woke up at 6am and headed to the airport to go to Seville, which is located in southern part of Spain. Took Ryan air again and landed in seville airport at 11am. I really felt bad when I was in the airplane but recovered well after having some water.
Contrary to our expectation, it was really cloudy and even a bit raining when I arrived at seville. Seville was famous for its good weather and I heard the average temperature there is like 30℃. Anyway after putting our luggage, we went to have lunch at first. We planed to go to the best tapas restaurant, which has more than 5000 reviews in trip adviser but the store was closed from 7 to 14 because of stuff rest. This long term winter vacation for all of stuff is really like catholic Spanish system. It was a bit shame but we found another sandwich store looked very busy with many customers so we went there. The bakery was really small but they sold sandwiches for 2 euro per. Delicious freshly baked breads and treats at very fair prices. The best part of traveling is meeting this kinds of local very good shop with affordable price by chance.
After that, we went to Maestranza. This place has been well-known for bullfighting festivals. I didn’t know well about bullfighting, but tour guide taught me many things about it including history and the basic rules. The bullfighting is taken place every Sunday from April to September and around 6 bulls are killed in each fightings. And three maestranzers were killed by bulls in its long history and of course many people were injured in the fighting. Because of its powerful, artistic, sensory, and dangerous features, the bullfighting has been attracting many people. Matador needs to understand how the bulls behave and risk his life to triumph on the sand. As represented in this life or death fighting, Spain is called the country of passion. And after that, went to royal alcazar of seville, which was used to be a house of royal family. It was just beautiful colored mainly in orange. The reflection of sunshine on the orange wall was so beautiful. And went to Spain plaza. I realized I was really liking plazas in Europe. Many people are chilling and some are doing street performances. I just like to see them and take my time there. And went to the tapas restaurant, which has 1700 reviews in google maps. As written in the reviews, each tapas was just 2.1 euro and beer was 1.2 euro. I would say it was the best restaurant in the last few years because I am a big fun of cheap and delicious restaurants. We ordered a lot but overall price was just 17euro so 8.5 euro per person. What a great restaurant. And after having a good dinner, we went to enjoy flamenco that was one of the main events I had been looking forward to as a dancer. No words can express the feelings when I was watching the flamenco. Their performance was filled with passion.
